Cicero
Cicero 4×4 Truck & Jeep Accessories
Originally, Cicero Township occupied six times its current territory, but weak political leadership and subpar town services resulted in a breakup.
Cities such as Oak Park and Berwyn voting to split off from Cicero.
The main roads in Cicero are Cermak, Ashland, Roosevelt, Ogden and of course Cicero. Just West of Chicago the town has a long history of criminal corruption.
During Prohibition in the 1920s, notorious gangster Al Capone established his headquarters there. According to local legend, Capone built many of the area’s roads to speed up travel for his beer trucks.
More recently Betty Loren-Maltese was found guilty of stealing $12 million from the city. The biggest draw bringing outsiders into Cicero is Hawthorne Racecourse. It’s the oldest continually ran family-owned racetrack in North America.
